Anna’s Country Kitchen Gluten Free Rice Pasta
is made from 100% Italian parboiled rice, in place of wheat. This parboiled rice is GMO free, and grown only by Italian farmers in the Vercelli province of Italy, a small province dedicated to the growth of some of the finest rice in Italy due to its abundance of water and rich soil. This gluten free rice pasta is produced in a celiac safe facility, and is 100% gluten-free and non-GMO certified.
The pasta itself has many unique characteristics due to its composition. The parboiled rice gives the pasta more vitamins (thiamine and niacin in particular), more minerals (calcium, phosphorus and iron) and stays firmer to the bite than other varietals of rice. The small white specks which appear on the pasta are an indication of parboiled rice and the quality of the pasta.
